Aero L-29 Delfín – Full Airframe, Engine & Component Support
Comprehensive support for the Aero L-29 Delfín — backed by our own flying example and unmatched expertise in overhauling the M701 engine, landing gear, and major systems.

The Aero L-29 Delfín was the standard jet trainer for Warsaw Pact nations during the 1960s and 70s, serving in more than 30 air forces worldwide. With over 3,600 built, it became one of the most successful training aircraft of the Cold War.
At Digital Aerospace Maintenance, we have extensive hands-on experience with the L-29 — including operating our own aircraft (G-DLFN). This unique perspective means we understand the type not just as engineers, but also as operators. That allows us to provide practical, cost-effective solutions for keeping L-29s flying safely.
Our capabilities include:
Powerplant – Full inspection, repair, and overhaul of the Motorlet M701 turbojet, including hot-section work and fuel system servicing
Landing Gear & Actuators – Overhaul and repair of landing gear assemblies, actuators, and associated hydraulic systems
Airframe & Systems – Corrosion inspection, structural repairs, hydraulic/pneumatic servicing, and pressurisation system support
Avionics & Safety – Electrical troubleshooting, harness repair, and inspection of parachutes, seats, and safety equipment
Heritage Flight Support – Preparation for display flying, CAA permit renewal, and ongoing operator assistance
With our in-house facilities at Oxford Airport and a proven track record of L-29 support, we are uniquely positioned to keep these aircraft flying for private owners, display pilots, and heritage organisations.
