American Airlines - CRJ 700 cabin visualization

American Airlines regional carrier American Eagle is breaking new ground in helping its target business travellers visualize the impact of its revamped First Class section thanks to Mediastation's pioneering computer generated imagery (CGI).

Mediastation produced the astonishing 3-D imagery for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park in Orlando Florida. Now it has applied the same technical expertise to create an extraordinarily lifelike 3D video of the interior of American Eagle’s CRJ700 cabins, fully conveying the market-leading makeover that it has undergone.

All this has been achieved without removing the aircraft from service for costly aerial and ground filming of the new product. Everything was produced using CGI techniques to generate the imagery from existing photos of the aircraft together with original engineering data from aircraft manufacturer Bombardier.

Not only does American Eagle now have a world-class marketing film to promote the new First Class cabin, but the same CGI model can be used for other purposes such as creating safety videos, printed documentation and interactive tools like online or kiosk-based virtual seat plans.

The film itself will be a major part of a new American Eagle video campaign on YouTube and on its own website to promote the product which includes nine redesigned First Class seats on every Bombardier CRJ 700 plus an enhanced meal service.
